WOMAN, COSMOPOLITAN AND EL PAÍS

Is humour necessary in life?
Knowing how to laugh at oneself is essential. In fact, I would die if I took myself seriously.
Which authors do you like best?
Philip Roth because of his anger and the fact that he is a New York Jew, with which I identify somewhat;  Bohumil Hrabal, for his guile and the tenderness of his characters and Josep Pla for his prose, descriptions, irony, the way he sees things, his language. I think with those three I have enough.
Has it been traumatic to grow up as a protestant in a catholic country?
More than being traumatic the fact that I am protestant has helped me to become more tolerant of minority groups, not just religious ones.
Taken from interviews in Woman, Cosmopolitan and El País.
